The coaching staff of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Track and Field team will be running the 9th Annual Throws Clinic at the Oshkosh Sports Complex in Oshkosh, WI.
The Titan Throws Clinic provides an excellent opportunity for junior high, high school, college throwers, post-college throwers and coaches to increase the technical skills in all of the throwing events. The Titan Throws Clinic has the top talent in coaches and athletes presenting their knowledge to further develop the skills necessary to become a successful thrower and coach.
LOCATION: Oshkosh Sports Complex, 450 Josslyn Street, Oshkosh, WI
CAMP SCHEDULE: The discus will be on Friday and the shot put on Saturday. Both will be practiced on Sunday. The hammer will be presented Sunday as well. The clinic will introduce the athlete to classroom instruction / video analysis of the shot put, discus and hammer as well as hands-on demonstration and drills that can be used to further the athlete’s development in the throws.
WHAT TO BRING: All participants should bring workout clothes to participate in the throwing drills that will be covered. Please bring your throwing shoes, hammer glove, etc. Please bring your own throwing implements!! UW-Oshkosh will provide a limited amount of implements.
NOTE: All camp attendee’s are responsible for their own lunch and dinner. There are a number of restaurants located near the Oshkosh Sports Complex. Camp attendees will also be responsible for housing if they choose to stay overnight.
